Rodnaja Zemlja
A comfortable connection with nature
About the project
Rodnaja Zemlja, Native Land, is an eco-space located on the shore of Lake Dolgoe in the picturesque Pskov region of Russia.

Here, you can forget about everyday worries and enjoy
the beautiful views, tranquility, and seclusion, as well as comfortable rest away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

September 2023 - start of the project
of which only 20 hectares will be revitalized. The rest is untouched nature with picturesque hiking trails.
220 hectares of land
Our heart will be a unique apple orchard that has collected varieties that bear fruit year-round: from early summer to late winter
The creator of the concept is Professor Semen Fedorovich Chernenko - an outstanding scientist, breeder, and doctor of agricultural sciences. He has created a unique 'Apple Calendar,' in which he has collected apple varieties that cover all months of the year in terms of ripening and readiness for consumption: from summer to late winter, as a response to unfavorable conditions for gardening in the territory of the former USSR.
APPLE CALENDAR
The professor had a summer cottage in the village Michurinets, founded in 1936 as part of the writers' town Peredelkino.
In the 1920s, an apple orchard of the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy was located on this site.
THE FIRST STAGE

  • 1.5 hectares

KEY EDUCATIONAL PARTNER
The House of Writers
The communities of Peredelkino and Michurinets villages are an important target audience for the eco-space 'Rodnaya Zemlya', in which the recreated apple orchard is a significant object of meaning.

In the short term, an educational and exhibition program on gardening and eco-practices will be launched at the partner's venue, the House of Writers in Peredelkino. The program
will also aim to promote the agricultural heritage of the settlements of Michurinets and Peredelkino in close collaboration with the communities of these settlements.
